Earlier this year, some tabloid revealed this scandalous information: Angelina Jolie still gets along with her ex-husband, Bill Bob Thornton. She actually gets along with both of her exes, BBT and Jonny Lee Miller, by the way – JLM and his wife still come out to support Angelina’s projects whenever they’re all in the same city. Anyway, the tabloids were freaking out because BBT has written a memoir (-ish) and Angelina wrote the foreword to it. Soon after that news came out, the tabloids simply ran several stories claiming that OBVIOUSLY Angelina and BBT are still boning in their leathery sex shack because obviously. OBVS. Anyway, Life & Style has an early excerpt of just what Angelina says in the foreword:
They’ve been divorced for nearly 10 years, but Angelina Jolie still has a soft spot for ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton. In Billy Bob’s new book, The Billy Bob Tapes: A Cave Full of Ghosts, which Life & Style has obtained, Angelina pens the foreword and says her former partner “has a big beautiful heart.”
But that’s not at all: “He has an unmatchable wit and can make you laugh until your face hurts,” Angie writes.
The 36-year-old actress, who got engaged to partner of seven years Brad Pitt in April, gives even more details about Billy Bob’s personality.
“To be with him is like being with a mad mathematician,” she adds. “He is constantly counting and repeating.”
Along with talking about the things the 56-year-old actor loves and dislikes, Angie admits the world, and she herself, would not be the same without him around.
“Some people walk through life able to quiet the voices in their heads. He can’t. And I, and everyone else who knows him well, we love him for it,” she says, ending with, “I know one thing: The world would certainly be a hell of a lot more dull if that man weren’t in it.”
Billy recently opened up about his marriage to Angie, calling the failure of their relationship his fault.
“I blew it because I didn’t think I was good enough for her,” he said. “She has one way she wanted to live her life and I had another way to live mine, and I was just too insecure.”

It sounds like Angelina still has a great deal of affection for BBT, although… I do feel like she sounds rather removed, almost like she’s eulogizing him rather than describing a living, breathing man who still exists in this world. Like, it seems like Billy Bob might be frozen in time for her, stuck permanently in 2001, and she barely knows the BBT of 2012. Anyway, that’s just my armchair analysis. I don’t think they’re boning. I don’t think Angelina is having any kind of sexual nostalgia. I think she’s just being generous with a man whom she remembers fondly.

When I see pics of her back then, it makes me wonder if she is so damn skinny now because she does not like her face when it is full like that.
I was thinking the same thing the other day. I also have a full face and when I add weight, my cheekbones aren’t as sharp.

Her face also looks quite different because these older pics are before her nose job. She got the rhinoplasty as well as some work on her bottom lip after her Billy Bob days.
Her nose & jawline are different, but the lip is the same I think. What made her really stunning back then was that her features were more exotic, not so “Euro-fied”; a real beath of fresh air in Hollywood. Not to say she’s not beautiful now, just in a different way. Her & BB were hot together, even if he is gross.

Some will point out pics after Gia, then others as a teenager. Now it’s after BBT. That woman hasn’t had a nose job. It’s the fluctuation of weight (which isn’t much), magazine photoshop and age.
She’s probably 24-25 years old in those photos and now turning 37 next month.
I would hope people wouldn’t dissect what I look like in my early 20’s and expect me to look the same in my mid-late 30’s.

Angelina has always been thin. You have to remember that her bone structure is very much like her fathers – long, thin and sharp.
Her face was fuller in these pictures, and up until she had children, basically because had baby fat. When she had Shiloh and Knox and Vivienne, she lost some of that fat, which is not unusual.
Again, Angelina has always been thin and had sharp features. That extra bit of fat that made her face and body fuller has changed or gone away due to what happens naturally when one ages, but also due to her pregnancies.

Is it really necessary to point out that Billy Bob and Angie were together during the ‘Lara Croft’ time? The weight in her face is probably the result of or the remainder of the weight Angie put on for those films.

It must be a combination of weight loss and plastic surgery, because she looks really different from her 20-something-year-old self. Plus, she’s only in her mid-30’s. I guess for some people you can have a marriage and divorce and still remember what you loved about the other person. Angie’s exes have been very respectful of her and she them. This how it works. But then there were not people that got all upset over the divorce of Angie and BBt.. nor Angie and JLM.. the nasty at Angie is because of Brad’s divorce. So it is nice to see that two people can act like adults after a marriage.
I actually saw the part about Angei in hte book. It is no more than 4 pages. Nothing negative about her. In fact he was extremely complimentary of her and took the blame for the marriage ending. He said nice things about her and Brad and their life together.

Good lord, really? Have you seen childhood pictures of her? She has always had very prominent features – In her teens she looked positively awkward before growing in to them. I’m only 28 and looking back at pictures from just 5 years ago my face has completely changed. Maybe she had work done, maybe not, who cares, I know way too many people, myself included, that have dramatically changed over the years without surgery. To say she’s been tweaked every which way is just ridiculous and presumptuous.

Exactly what I was thinking as I was reading. But I guess it’s understandable because to a certain degree she is writing about what she remembers him to be like back then. She’s moved so far from that time in her life, and he probably has too, so anything she writes isn’t going to feel immediate.
FWIW I think she wrote it to be nice. I’m sure the thinking was that maybe adding her name to it would help sales. I’m not sure how much of an audience the book would have without her connection to help draw in readers!

10-15 pounds doesnt give you a 100& smaller nose. She was tired of being a single mother and she said she wanted to adopt more kids. I don’t think she could handle it on her own. I think that’s why she compromised with Brad on having bio babies. She said he treated Maddox and Zahara as his own but made it clear that he desired bio kids. She settled.

Seems to me that she made sure that Maddox and Zahara would not be the odd ones out when she embarked on a romantic relationship. Because she could’ve pulled an Esther Williams or Ryan O’Neal and ditch her parental responsibilities in favor of making her bits happy; but she didn’t.

To get back to the point of the post, these are the comments from the foreword. Seriously boring… Could have been far more interesting considering what they put into the public domain (I realise some things are private) and not that I ever would have bought the book anyway, the foreword has not convinced me that I need to know more about this man. He sounds deranged.
And further, having AJ write the foreword must be more about getting her fans to buy the book than anything else, who else cares?
The haters are so lol. I don’t know what’s funnier: Angelina was so much fatter 10 years ago, had dozens of surgeries or she desperately wants BBT back. The pictures actually show she’s always been really thin. Especially the photo of her in the blond wig, wearing the suit. She also looks the same. If you compare photos taken 10 years apart of course the person looks slightly different. Look at your own photos. You would think that after almost 7 years people’s rage would simmer but I guess people are still really angry she and Brad are still together. It’s really sad.
When you compare that pic with stills from Salt (where she wore a similar suit), she looks about the same size.
And on another note, I think that Angelina is the rarest of rare in that she seems to look thinner in light colors than in dark colors.

funny I never hear this stuff about Drew.. why no comments about her and her lifting her shirt on camera flashing the interviewers doing drugs, getting drunk and so much more. But only Angie is suppose to be what she was in her 20’s.
How you equate all her past to being a fun girl. I think people like you are pissed that her life is not the tabloid rumors some of you put so much stock into.

I’m sure Angelina has fully moved on from BBT. She removed the tattoo, she left when it became obvious they wanted different things. She didn’t stay around waiting and hoping things would change better, she did what she wanted (and he did what he wanted) and that’s that. I’m sure it’s much more BBT who’s pining after Angie and she’s just being nice but has no true feelings or regrets. It’s exactly like she’s just describing something that was but has no idea what’s up these days.. those words could be said just about anyone, they don’t really have anything personal in them.

like she was NOT afraid of those unauthorized biographies that were written. Don’t recall her being afraid or bothered at all. Never said a word about any of them. She has talked about her life and when you are honest you don’t have to be afraid of what anyone says.
Which is why you don’t see her whinnying about the public perception.
